RESEARCH OF PURCHASE HABITS IN DRUGSTORES

Main purpose :

To assess the purchaser habits and attitudes of ethical products in drugstores of Great Lima.

Specific purposes:
  • Purchase proportion of ethical products with prescription/ without prescription.
  • In purchasers without prescription, bought proportion of the suggested product by the dependent one vs. the product the patient was considering to buy. Reasons of change user’s mind.
  • In purchasers with prescription, bought proportion stated in the prescription vs. those who changed by another product. Reasons of change user’s mind.
  • Origin of the change
  • The prescription proportion showing that it was bought less than prescribed.
  • Proportion of prescriptions in which less than indicated is bought.
  • Proportion of prescriptions that are not purchased/replaced. They decide not to buy. Reasons.
  • Main ethical product lines that are normally bought without prescription.
Methodology
 
Personal interview, using a specific questionnaire.
 
Sample
 
150 pharmacies segmented according to socio-economic levels (3.000 observations of purchase).
 
Research area
 
Great Lima.
 
Frequency
 
Two reports per year (April-October).
