QUANTITATIVE-QUALITATIVE STUDY OF DISTRIBUTION IN PHARMACIES

Main purpose :

Quantitative-qualitative information about the characteristics of pharmaceuticals distribution and evaluate the performance of distributors.

Specific purposes:
  • Proportion of pharmacies served by each distributor.
  • Performance level of each distributor.
  • Evaluation of each distributor by scale.
  • Distributors with the left / prefer / prefer not to work. Reasons.
  • Distributors that are distinguished by providing a better service.
  • Distributors that have a better staff of vendors.
  • Distributors that offer a greater speed of delivery.
  • Distributors that have better prepared vendors.
  • Distributors that offer products with higher demand.
  • Investigation of the credit and collection policy.
  • How to cancel their purchases.
  • Attitude to assume when they need to restock.
  • Proportion of establishments receiving bonuses.
  • Types of bonuses they receive.
  • "Ideal" characteristics attributed to a distributor of pharmaceutical products.
  • Distributor that is closer to the ideal.
  • Proportion of establishments directly served by the laboratories.
  • Laboratory to which they consider that each main distributor devote more effort.
Methodology
 
Personal interview to the owner or main person in charge, using a specific questionnaire.
 
Sample
 
300 pharmacies in Lima.
240 pharmacies in Provinces (8 cities).
 
Frequency of production
 
Two reports per year (April-October).
